TruVault Market is a New York business and handles personal information under the New York SHIELD Act (General Business Law § 899-bb), the New York breach notification law (§ 899-aa), and applicable federal law.

Information we collect

Account details (name, email, sign-in identity), listing and order content, shipping addresses, messages between buyers and sellers, escrow transaction identifiers and status, notification preferences, and standard technical logs.

We do not collect or store full payment card numbers or bank account credentials. Payment information is collected directly by the third-party escrow provider.

How we use it

To operate the marketplace, run escrow-backed transactions, deliver order and escrow notifications, prevent fraud, meet tax and recordkeeping obligations, and support disputes. We do not sell personal information.

Who we share it with

The counterparty to your transaction (limited to what the transaction requires), our escrow provider, our email delivery provider, our hosting and database provider, and law enforcement where legally required.

SHIELD Act safeguards

We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards reasonable for a business of our size: role-based access control, row-level database security scoped to the owning user, encrypted transport, restricted administrative tooling, audit logging of escrow and fee events, and vendor review before onboarding a processor.

Breach notification

If private information of a New York resident is acquired without authorization, we will notify affected users in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, and will notify the New York Attorney General, Department of State and State Police as required by GBL § 899-aa.

Retention

Transaction, escrow and fee records are retained for at least seven years to satisfy New York tax and recordkeeping requirements. Marketing preferences and messages are retained while your account is active.

Your choices

You can update or delete listings, adjust email notification preferences in your account, and unsubscribe from non-essential email with one click. Essential transactional messages about funds, disputes and refunds cannot be turned off while an order is open. You may request access to or deletion of your account data by contacting us; deletion requests are honored except where records must be retained by law.

Children

The platform is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
